Light scatter in the forward (FSC) and side (SSC) directions in flow cytometry provides valuable insight into relative particle size and internal complexity. The Accellix Platform, a harmonized and automated cytometer engineered for cell and gene therapy manufacturing and quality control, does not collect SSC, and the scatter gate is replaced with a FSC by Peak Time biplot during analysis. We report the relationship between FSC and particle size on the Accellix instrument to guide users in setting the FSC limit during post-acquisition data analysis.

To demonstrate reproducibility and efficiency, Accellix, in collaboration with Triumvira, conducted a study that aims to demonstrate the ease of use, high reproducibility and comparability of the Accellix platform to conventional cytometers and cell counters.
