  • Process Engineer III

    Location: San Jose, CA

    Accellix is searching for a seasoned process engineer to join our operations team in our San Jose Location. This person will lead in the transfer of products from development to manufacturing by ensuring that all processes and equipment are installed and qualified for production to meet ISO13485 standards. This individual will operate as local production process and equipment subject matter expert.

    Responsibilities

    Leads technology and product transfer efforts for new processes and product introduction from development to manufacturing
    Leads risk assessments, verification and validation of product, equipment and processes
    Develop and maintain the master validation plan and validation traceability matrix (“VTM”)
    Develop and translate validation/user requirements into validation strategy in conjunction with development, quality, and operations organizations
    Generate protocols and reports for design qualification, system verification, installation qualification, operational qualification, performance qualification
    Executes validations and documents validation results in final reports
    Perform data entry and statistical analysis of data collected during validation activities
    Ensures that validations are documented using Good Documentation Practices and completed in compliance with ISO13485 Standards
    Identify, procure, and install equipment to improve process and production capabilities
    Modifies methodologies and procedures, ensuring continuous improvement
    Train and support operators on new procedures, processes and changes
    Provide process engineering support in quality system audits

    Qualifications

    Minimum 8 years of product development, process development, process engineering, manufacturing engineering, validation or product transfer with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or Biology or Master’s degree with 4 years or PhD degree with 2 years
    Experience in product development, process development, process engineering, manufacturing engineering, validation or product transfer in a medical device or invitro diagnostic reagent manufacturing environment.
    Strong ability to plan, prioritize and manage complex and conflicting activities in a timely manner;
    In-depth knowledge of ISO13485 requirements from development through commercialization of products
    Work independently and on project teams
    Attention to detail, perform critical analysis of situations and provide recommendations.

  • Scientific Sales Representative, EMEA

    Location: United Kingdom (remote)

    Accellix, a Silicon Valley-based company offering a disruptive flow cytometry solution for Cell Therapy QC, is looking for a Scientific Sales Representative to assist the sales team to drive new business.

    The Scientific Sales Representative will be assigned to cover the Accellix Platform, which includes the Accellix Flow Cytometry Instrument, Cartridge-based assays, and related services. This position will be primarily responsible for managing day-to-day operations at existing accounts, developing and nurturing a pipeline of immuno-oncology and cell therapy prospects in small, mid-size, and large biotech/pharma globally. The Scientific Sales Representative manages inquiries by phone and or email, identifies target accounts decision-makers, sets up appointments for corporate field sales, and reports results on each.

    Will be required to proactively initiate and manage cold-call activities into a target list of accounts, warm calls for trade shows, and other incoming lead sources. The Scientific Sales Representative must be able to identify and qualify opportunities, build trust and credibility, deliver a clear and compelling message, uncover initiatives and gain commitment from prospects to engage with Accellix.

    Responsibilities

    • Uncover and target new opportunities and follow up on leads generated during conferences and tradeshows
    • Assist in managing inquiries from existing accounts related to sales, marketing, and technical support
    • Helps coordinate FAS activities (demos, installs, troubleshooting, repairs) both internally and with customers

  • Manager/Sr. Manager Global Marketing

    Location: San Jose, CA (Hybrid)

    Manager/Sr. Manager Global Marketing will be responsible for helping to position Accellix externally with both Key Opinion Leaders and Key Customers in the Cell Therapy Market. The position will work in close partnership with cross-functional partners in order to support the execution of a robust key customer strategy globally. This will be supporting both current and future customers for existing and new products launched to the market globally. The ideal candidate should have a solid life-sciences marketing background and work experience managing a variety of new product introductions, campaigns, and have experience in both non-personal and personal marketing techniques. It is expected that this individual will play a significant role shaping the company’s strategic planning and customer engagement capabilities for planned commercial product launches. The Manager/Sr. Manager, Global Marketing articulates the customer-facing messaging and outlines all marketing efforts to achieve this goal through multiple channels, including web content, webinars, emails & social, advertising, public relations and tradeshows. The Manager/Sr. Manager, Global Marketing also aligns field teams with current messaging and expertise through team training and tight communication.

    Key Accountabilities

  • Manufacturing Associate

    Location: San Jose, CA

    Accellix is searching for full-time (40 hr/wk) hourly manufacturing associates to join our operations team in our San Jose Location. Compensation for this position is an hourly wage with benefits commensurate with the candidate’s experience. This person will be responsible for following production process in support of consumable production. The ideal candidate is an independent self-starter with some experience in GMP/ISO regulated production environments.

    Responsibilites

    • Follow written work instructions and complete production documentation within an ISO environment.
    • Perform packaging and labelling tasks on consumable components
    • Report issues and deviations to shift supervisor in timely fashion.
    • Complete inventory tracking documents for movement of materials during production
    • Prepare shipments of delivery of finished goods
    • Perform formulation of biological solutions, filtration, aliquot and packaging.

  • Field Application Scientist (West Coast)

    Location: California, United States (Remote)

    This role is for a dynamic, self-motivated, and experienced individual to support our Accellix Instrumentation Platform as a Field Application Scientist. The candidate will work within a multi-disciplinary team which includes product development scientists, engineers, sales representatives, marketing, and service employees. You sometimes will be wearing multiple hats such as pre- and post-sales support, but the primary responsibilities will be to lead instrument and platform installation at the customer sites, work on cell analysis software, and troubleshooting customer assays. Additional responsibilities include technical support for customers, creation of customer facing educational and application materials, conference attendance as well as assisting in Accellix System product demonstrations.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide pre- and post-sales technical and application support in response to field sales requests, customer inquiries (both internal and external), including application development, documentation education, customer training, and on-site visits
    • Prioritize installations, demos, troubleshooting and projects so that core job functions are accomplished
    • Work independently and with Accellix team members to develop and update workflow applications and educational content for customer training in the form of training manuals, quick reference guides, videos and seminars
    • Troubleshoot customer issues requiring support from Accellix technical support team and also providing support to the Accellix technical team when investigating customer issue or when needed
    • Lead customer complaint process and reporting in necessary systems to escalate and solve issues
    • Document customer feedback to the rest of the development team

    Requirements

    Responsibilities

    • Work with scientists on the team to develop and qualify flow cytometry assay panels, including antibody titrations, formulation optimization, protocol optimization, and verification of expected cell subset frequencies and counts
    • Work with cross-functional teams to integrate assays onto the Accellix platform, and ensure assay requirements are met
    • Follow good manufacturing practices (GMP) in lab, clearly document experimental procedures and results, and assist team in maintaining inventory of lab supplies and reagents
    • Participate in drafting and editing protocols for assay kit manufacturing and QC, and in tech transfer to the manufacturing team
    • Present updates on projects and initiate brainstorming/troubleshooting discussions within the team and to external customer audiences.

    The internship period is from June to September 5th (or the candidates return to school date). This is a paid internship commensurate with background or experience.

    Accellix has open internship opportunities for an enthusiastic individual to assist the manufacturing/production teams. This person will work closely with scientist and engineer mentors in a growth phase biotechnology company. Mentors will coordinate activities with interns providing exposure to all facets of the manufacturing process, new process introduction, equipment installation, maintenance, and product release.
